Cleethorpes Academy Year 10 Geography GCSE students visited Hull City Centre to research regeneration. They looked at pedestrian footfall, the number of derelict buildings and shops and compared different areas of the centre.

Geography Teacher Rebecca Maguire said: "Getting out into the community allows the students to put their classroom learning into practice and gives them a greater understanding of the impact on the environment."

Student Lauren Wharton said: "It does help to get out and see what we have learned in the classroom in a real life situation. It was very interesting."
